Based on cult romcom Pretty Woman (Garry Marshall, 1990), this smash hit musical is now on at The Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre, and garnered a full house on its opening night, and we can certainly understand why...

We follow Vivian Ward (depicted wonderfully in our showing by Rebekah Bryant), a Hollywood prostitute who is picked up by Edward Lewis (Oliver Saville), tough but troubled business mogul. Immersing herself into his world, Vivian soon realises not only that she doesn't belong, but is determined to make a change in her life. Seemingly, Edward does too, eventually softened by Vivian's joie ve vivre (I guess its in the name, right?)

As soon as you're seated, you're immediately drenched in the coral Hollywood sunset, matched with neon lights and enigmatic ensemble of performers. The tone of the show, like the film, is optimistic and warm, blended with realities of vocation, home and belonging. This has been expertly created by the Creative and Production teams.

Narrative aside, Pretty Woman the Musical packs a punch with incredible vocal performances, shout out to Natalie Paris as Kit De Luca who delivers some seriously impressive vocal runs and ferocious characterisation to the role. Another special mention to Noah Harrison as Giulio, bell hop at the Beverley Wiltshire Hotel, who delivers side-splitting physical comedy alongside television staple Ore Oduba as Happy Man/Mr Thompson. Oduba delivers an extremely impressive performance and demonstrated his Strictly Come Dancing tango mastery.

Here's the kicker, there's a very limited number of tickets left. So unless you fancy making a big, HUGE mistake, grab your seat while you can: Pretty Woman The Musical Tickets | Regent Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent in Stoke-on-Trent | ATG Tickets.

Thank you again to the team at ATG Entertainment for having us.
