Working with Graphic Artist and Muralist Rob Fenton, the ArtJam is set to feature artists from Staffordshire and beyond, to transform hoarding in the City Centre. Rob is dedicated to contributing to the regeneration of social spaces across Stoke-on-Trent, having recently completed projects for Alton Towers and a landmark mural for Belstaff in Longton:
“It's great that we are aligning ourselves with so many other UK cities that are actively nurturing artists and new public artworks across our shared social spaces. I'm excited to play a small part in injecting more colour into the City Centre of Stoke-on-Trent!”

The BID have been granted exclusive permission from Stoke-on-Trent City Council to utilize fencing adjacent to Hanley Bus Station, originally intended to corden the Etruscan Square development.

"We would not have been able to deliver this event without the support of Stoke-on-Trent City Council. We are enormously grateful for their continual efforts to help revitalise the City Centre."

Whilst the ArtJam takes place, members of the public can enjoy feature DJs, children’s art activities and the correlating launch of a City Centre Artwork Trail whilst watching the artists at work.

The map is set to highlight pre-existing artwork in Hanley, including the impressive Captain John Smith mural on Hope Street, along with 20 new ‘ArtBoxes’.
By utilising previously unloved bins and electric boxes in the public realm, The BID and Rob Fenton have collaborated with local organisations, groups and individual artists to create impactful and meaningful pops of art in these small but mighty instalments.

The trail map will be available to download at stokeontrentcitycentre.co.uk from Saturday 27 July, and limited print copies at the ArtJam launch on Saturday 27 July from 10am - 4pm.
