Never heard of Connects?

Connects have been delivering networking events to bring together local communities in Staffordshire, as a not-for-profit organisation for over a decade. Providing a relaxing, non-formal approach to networking, Connects Network has gained popularity with those in business, charity and event organisations looking to expand and promote their profile.

How can you benefit from attending a Connects event?

Meetings run on a montly basis at various venues across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme, with the last meeting held at Desire Cocktail Bar in Stoke-on-Trent city centre.

Arriving to a warm welcome, you can grab a hot drink and enjoy a couple of hours of open networking together to listen, learn and share your story, as well as other positive stories from members of your local community. You also have the opportunity to introduce yourself in a short and sweet 60 second presentation (nothing like the nerve-wracking ice breakers to settle in).

After a quick coffee break, you can sit back and hear from the specially selected guest speaker, chosen by the Connects team to inform you about local success stories, projects and events that are coming up in the area. There is also a chance to ask any burning questions in a following Q&A session.

The rest of the meeting gives you time for informal conversations and connections among participants.

How much is it to attend a Connects meeting?

For the past 6 months, the Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID and the Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District have been proud supporters of Connects, which has allowed the events to be accessible to anyone with no annual fee or joining fee to attend.

What are people saying about Connects meetings?

"The Networking approach is a little different from other networking opportunities in as much as all local businesses are welcome even if they operate in similar sectors in an informal atmosphere, which is refreshing.” - Arthur Barnard, Philip Astley Projects CIC
