If you hadn’t noticed, Spring is definitely springing all across Stoke-On-Trent City Centre right now, and with the school holidays just around the corner, we wanted to make sure that
you are fully-equipped to plan your visits around some of the fabulous activities and events our businesses have scheduled this Easter! So crack out the calendar app on your phone, or grab your diary and a pen and get ready to take notes:
Mitchell Arts Centre ‘Alice In Wonderland’ - Sunday 24th March
An absolute must-do for this Easter is the live performance of ‘Alice In Wonderland’ at the MAC... The team behind last year’s smash hit, The Jungle Book, are now showcasing what
promises to be ‘their biggest, funniest, and most spectacular family musical to date’. This show will be running on the 24th March at 1.30pm and 4.30pm with tickets ranging from
£11.50-£13. Head to https://mitchellartscentre.co.uk/alice-in-wonderland to book. Also, if you’ve got a budding star in the family who loves an opportunity for drama and
dance, the ‘Easter Carnival Dance Party Workshop’ on Tuesday the 26th March is going to be ideal. Led by a professional practitioner, young ones will socialise, have fun and explore
their creative abilities. The workshop takes place from 1.30pm-3pm and costs £5 per student (children must be aged 6 or above in order to join in). Please go to
https://mitchellartscentre.co.uk/easter-carnival-dance-party-workshop to book your child’s spot.
The Potteries Centre Green Club Easter Trail - 23 to 29th March
Located outside River Island, The Green Club will see visitors enjoy free 30-minute sessions, filled with four different activities, including:
Spring Crafts: an Easter-themed colouring workshop.
Green Fingers: plant your very own sunflower and take it home with you
This or that?: an interactive guessing game, spotlighting seasonal produce
Garden Party: dance with the Easter Bunny to your favourite tunes!
Sessions run from 10am until 3pm every day, with bookings online or walk ins available!
Potteries Museum and Art Gallery ‘Pastasaurus’ and ‘How to Train Your Dinosaur’ - Sunday 26th March
PMAG is really treating families this year with a whole host of family-friendly activities! You can drop in from 10.30am to 12pm, and again from 1pm to 3pm on the 26th to create your
own dino figurine using just clay and pasta! Participation in the ‘Pastasaurus’ activity costs just £3 per person, and you get to walk away with your very own hand-crafted dino.
That same day, you could also check out the FREE ‘How To Train Your Dinosaur’ performance where you will come face-to-face with the museum’s friendly dino...
Accompanied by their trainer, this cheeky creature is keen to explore and make new friends so prepare your kiddos for an immersive, and interactive experience. Spot the dino at the
museum at 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Additional workshops, events and exhibitions are taking place throughout the course of the Easter holidays, so head to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery website for more details right here: https://www.stokemuseums.org.uk/pmag/whats-on/events/
Smithfield x Stoke-On-Trent BID ‘Spring Crafting Sessions’ - Saturday 30th March
Now, we know that you want your children to do something more than veg in front of the telly this Easter... Like, maybe they can do a craft? But that sounds messy... Paint, glue, little
pieces of chopped up paper. Nightmare. So why don’t you let them come and create that mess with us instead? Sessions will run from 11am to 2.30pm, and are for children between
ages 3-11. The theme of these sessions is ‘Environmentally Friendly Easter Crafts’ so your little ones will be creating something that they can keep, while also learning about crafting
more consciously with recycled cardboard and compostable blooms. While the workshops are FREE, spaces are limited so please pre-book your space here. Please note that each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to participate.
The Potteries Artisan Market - Saturday 30th March
And while you are in town for the crafting workshops mentioned above, you can come and celebrate that it is the Potteries Artisan Market season with us! This is your perfect
opportunity to reconnect with some of your favourite makers, bakers and creators while soaking up the Springtime sunshine. You’ll find the market, with returning stall-holders and
plenty of newbies to boot, at Market Square from 10am. We recommend arriving earlier in the day though, because stocks can be limited and you don’t want to miss out on the best
bits!
